Welcome to Rhiannon's Digital Quilt,

If you're wondering what this is, who the inspiration is for it, and who is behind it (and how to contribute to it), you will find all of this information and more, on this page. We've invited photographers of the world to participate in this digital quilt to remember a very special young lady as a way to contribute to her lasting and loving legacy. We hope, after reading this page (and about Rhiannon at her website) that you'll consider participating, and linking back to the quilt, too.

About this digital quilt. Rhiannon loved the outdoors, she loved animals and I thought it would be a beautiful way to remember her by collecting images from around the world. To learn more about Rhiannon, you are encouraged to visit her website. The plan is that each 100 submissions will equal 1 block, in much the same way as one would assemble a quilt out of fabric. The photographs are each linked to a "row" page with a larger version of the image, image details, wishes for the family, and links to the photographer's website (if any). As the quilt grows, please check back as this page will surely expand as well!

Bumblebee by Camilla A. Information to Include: To contribute to Rhiannon's Digital Quilt, submit your digital photograph (please read below) along with a message for Rhiannon's family. We'd also appreciate knowing (1) where in the world you're from; and (2) any details you can provide about the image. These details will appear on the block/row pages (which are currently being 'sewn'). Click on an image in the quilt to see how this works. If you have a website, blog or photolog and would like us to link to it, please include that as well (you will find link buttons at the bottom of this page, please help yourself if you'd like to add one to your weblog or photolog). If this is your first visit, we encourage you to click around the quilt for ideas and inspiration.

Please note that this is a family-friendly site, and that the quilt is viewed by Rhiannon's family, classmates and friends around the world.

B. JPG format (no .BMP's or .GIF's, please).

C. Please limit the size of your image to a maximum of 150KB. The preferred size is 300 (width) x 225 (height), the only modifications we will make to the image are to size it to fit the quilt and the block pages. (300 x 225 is the preferred size, please note we'll resize and crop-to-fit any other sizes submitted). Please remember to include the type of flower (if known), your name, any message you'd like to send to Rhiannon's Family, and where in the world you are from.

D. Please do not add any text or graphics around or over the top of your image. This includes single pixel keylines, frames or borders around the image and dates, copyright info or urls on top. Please don't include multiple images within one image. Remember, you will always retain copyright to your images.

E. How often can I contribute? Feel free to contribute as often as you like, as you'll see by the quilt, some folks have contributed entire rows.

F. But some of the images on the quilt break one or more of these rules! Yes, that's true. But going forward we are going to be enforcing the above. Thank you for understanding.

Ready to Submit? If you've read all of the above, please send your submission to me at myla@rhiannonmiller.com. Your contribution will be reviewed to ensure that it meets the above typically within 24 to 48 hours. If it does, we'll let you know via return e-mail. Right now we are only able to take submissions via e-mail. We will never sell your e-mail address or post it on the site, we will only use it to contact you (and thank you for your submission).

Rhiannon's Digital Quilt

Please note: Rhiannon's Digital Quilt has been designed to be an ongoing project, in memory of Rhiannon Miller. So there is no time limit for this project, so any time you'd like to contribute flowers, petals, or butterflies (beautiful cloud photographs and sunsets are also welcome) to Rhiannon's Quilt, feel free to write me at myla@rhiannonmiller.com.

If you'd like to link back to Rhiannon's Digital Quilt and spread the word about this amazing young lady, please help yourself to one of these link buttons.

The digital seamstress. The person behind the digital quilt is me -- my name is Myla and I am a friend of the family. The answer to why I'm doing this -- is for one plain and simple reason: as a way to remember a beautiful and incredibly special young lady named Rhiannon. Please know that your submissions and beautiful thoughts and wishes have given Rhiannon's family great comfort and are truly appreciated. If you have yet to visit her website, I encourage you to do so, and please remember to sign the guestbook and let us know you were here! Feel free to write me at myla@rhiannonmiller.com if you have a question not answered above and I'll do my best to answer you as soon as possible.

Inspiration, Credits and Thanks. Rhiannon's Digital Quilt is the result of inspiration from many different sources, and a confluence of recent events. First and foremost, to Rhiannon, the inspiration for this project. This quilt is created in Rhiannon's loving memory, and dedicated to Rhiannon and her parents, Dave and Laura Miller, her brother, Bryan Miller, and Grandparents: Don and Nadine Clouse, Dave and Arlene Miller. Very special thanks to everyone who has contributed so far and for all the submissions and reciprocal links. To L. Brandon Stone at PhotoMemes.org, InsiderHosting (our web host), Kalsey Consulting for the link button, and last but not least, to Heather Champ for the inspiration for these submission details and her fabulous Mirror Project.
